Danny’s Health

On July 7th, 2010, Danny Amis publically revealed that he was suffering from multiple myeloma. Fortunately, he underwent treatment and responded well to it. In order to help him with his medical expenses, a series of benefit concerts were held in 2011. On June 29th, 2011, the Raybeats performed at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey, at one of Danny Amis’s benefit shows. Other acts scheduled that evening were the Individuals, Ira Kaplan and Georgia Hubley (of Yo La Tengo), the Schramms, and Tall Lonesome Pines.
